AHHHHHH Sunday was so awesome! Happy Birthday Deep Water! Baptisms, Cake, Eye Of the Tiger, sweater vests, how do we pack so much awesomeness into one worship gathering?
There are about 412 people to thanks but I want to take time to especially thank the guys who came out Saturday night to set up the baptistry, Jen Ochej and her decorating crew, and Deb Wong for blowing all of our minds with that incredible cake. And thanks to everyone who worked to make our second birthday such an incredible day. By the way - Sunday was the biggest crowd we have ever had.
This Sunday
We launch into our much-anticipated series called "Static". It's all about dealing with the reasons we have a hard time hearing God speak to us. This is going to be good, practical stuff that will help you to grow in your relationship with Jesus.
Small Groups
There are lots of opportunities to connect with a small group near you. If you're only coming out on Sunday mornings, you're only getting half of the goodness.
luvHALI - Blanket Outreach
Hello everyone, we'll be passing out the blankets this Saturday night (Nov. 7th). We'll be meeting at the Grand Parade Square at 11:00pm. Locations have been scouted out in downtown Halifax, and directions will be given that night. We'll be done by 12:30 am. If you would like to help pass them out, email Adam Setchell.
luvHALI - Clothing Drive
Is your closet bursting at the seams? Is there one too many sweater vests taking up space? Now is you chance to donate all of your previously loved clothing to people who need it. On November 8th and November 15th we will be collecting clothing for the Adsum House (a women and children's shelter) and Metro Turning Point (a center for men). Please separate your clothing accordingly. If you have any questions please email Tricia or Lisa.
luvHALI - The Fish
On November 14, 21, and 28, we will be sending a team of volunteers to help out at The Fish. It's a downtown mission aimed at serving those less fortunate in the city. If you feel like taking two hours on a Saturday night to play some board games, serve coffee, or just talk with people, then email Steve.
And now you're in the loop.
