Greetings Launch Team and Happy Natal Day (or day after which ever the case may be when you see this). I hope you had a great Sunday. I visited 3 churches, Catholic, Anglican, and Inter-denominational Charismatic. Interesting experiences to be sure. Can't wait to hear your story and I would encourage you to check out some other churches if you have the time.

I am super stoked for the Willow Creek Leadership Summit this Thursday - Saturday. This is one of the highlights of my year. In fact last years summit was key in God solidifying my call to plant Deep Water. I'd love to know how many of us are actually planning to go, I know of at least 7. It would be cool if we could sit together in a couple sessions and enjoy this experience together.

We have talked a lot about seeing ourselves as missionaries to another culture. This article explains this concept really well. Please read and enjoy.

For those of you who missed the last meeting we distributed "Giving Commitment" cards. It’s the same basic gist as the Consecration Sunday program most of you are used to from Hillside. You fill out a card saying what you intend to give, we base our financial plans around those commitments. Greg MacLeod, our bookkeeper, is the only one who sees your commitment and he will know what you give over the year anyway for receipting purposes. Please come to the next meeting prepared to fill out a card and give it to Greg. If you are uncomfortable doing this you may choose to not participate.

We had a great meeting last night to work on the whole code breaking survey project. I think we have put together a solid plan with some great questions. Much more on this in our next meeting Sunday night August 12 at 5pm. See you there! Now you're in the loop.
