This Week
It’s Easter this week and we will be celebrating the Jesus who wouldn't stay dead and exploring what it means that He not only was alive but also IS alive.
BAPTISM PARTY - SUNDAY APRIL 26th
We are going to have an awesome time celebrating the Baptism of several of our fellow Deep Water folks. It's going to a party with lots of singing, cheering, and with a little luck some food. You don't want to miss this. Cancel whatever you had scheduled, if you are in university don’t go home till that night, if you are in prison start building your tunnel now. Details are:
When: Sunday April 26th from 2:30 to 4:30
Where: Faith Tabernacle Church – 6222 Summit Street (corner of Windsor St)
Traveling by Bus? Check hbus.ca
Who: Everybody. Make it a point to be there and bring a friend.
Why: Because Jesus taught us to and people have used this as a way to say I follow Jesus since the day Jesus was Baptized.
What: A Baptism Party, come on, pay attention : )

Direct Deposit Giving is Coming
We have been working at figuring this stuff out and we are happy to announce that we will be launching Direct Deposit Giving at Deep Water in the near future. Get annoyed with writing checks? Find it hard to remember to grab a giving envelope in the Sunday morning rush? Hate forgetting to give on weeks you miss the Worship Gathering? This is the answer and the sign up forms and details will be available soon. Like the more hands on offering box approach? No problem, it will still be there for you.
Jen Ochej and a Place to Stay
Jen is a great young woman who, as part of completing her education to become a pastor, will be doing an internship with us here at Deep Water from June to November. I'm excited to have her hear using her gifts and passion to join in with the mission of Deep Water. She will be putting in tons of time and effort and one of the ways we can say thank you is by helping to find her a cheap or even better yet free place to stay. Do you need someone to house sit? Are you looking for a roommate? Do you have a spare room Jen could use for some or all of that time? Let me know about it.
