Bryan Wiens was the only one to correctly guess the 7 regular Deep Water attenders that I have known since before I turned 20 (although it took him a couple tries). I got to thinking later in the week though that there are actually 8 people though. Next Week - Honest to God: About What We Want
We will be looking at one of the wildest prayers every prayed and demystifying what it means to pray and how to "do it right". If you are the kind of person who never knows what to pray and gets nervous praying in a group because your not sure what to say this should be especially helpful for you. As an additional treat AJ Huffman will be leading worship. I'm super stoked! It's gonna be a fun time and a great week to bring a friend - why not invite someone.
Compassionate Ministries
The compassionate ministry event for this month will be a PARTY (WOOHOO)! Saturday night, March 15, we'll be having a St. Patrick's Day PARTY as a fund raiser for the international community project we are currently investigating and planning. It starts at 7 pm at 122 Beech Tree Run. Minimum suggested donation is $10. This will be an opportunity for you and the friends you invite to have fun celebrating and being a part of Deep Water's international ministry.
A Common Question
This weeks is a follow-up to last weeks question about giving and it's actually very important for those of you who are regular contributors to Deep Water. The question is: Do I need to keep those receipts from "The Atlantic District of the Wesleyan Church" that I receive each month? YES!!! That is your receipt for income tax purposes. For some reason they send them out monthly instead of annually.
Good Friday Service
We will be hosting a combined Good Friday Worship Gathering with Hillside Wesleyan and Metro Wesleyan on March 21st at 10:30am at the theatre. Good Friday is always a very meaningful time. It's an honor for us to be hosting Hillside and Metro as both of these churches help back Deep Water financially and it's a great chance for them to get a sense of what Sunday at Deep Water looks like. We hope to see everyone there.
An Easter Egg on the Ressurection
