We had another great meeting last week, our largest yet at 28 people. I want to say a special thank you to those of you who make the effort to be on time each week. We have so much to cover in these meetings and being able to start on time allows us to make much better use of our time. For those of you who tend to be a little on the late side, please put in the extra effort to be on time. It's good practice for after launch when we are all showing up at least an hour early.
Venue
Just to bring you up to speed on the vote at our meeting there is a very clear consensus that Empire Park Lane is the way to go. Of the 20 people who voted 17 rated it first and the other three rated it second. Next were church and School and Multi-site were a fairly distant 3rd and fourth.
Code Breaking and Next Weeks Discussion
The results have been tabulated and you can see how it all breaks down here. Huge thanks to Robin Ogilvie who put a ton of work into this and has given us a clear, practical, and attractive document. Please take the time to read through the report in preparation for our discussion on promotion at this weeks meeting. Robin and Bryan will be leading it and I'm stoked to see our creative energies flowing on this one.
Post-Modernism
We have talked a lot in this journey about post-modernism. If you want to understand this mindset better take a few minutes to read this article by our very own Rod Mackenzie on the Hillside Apologetics web site.
Pray
Please continue to pray for God to provide us with the best worship venue and for Him to lead a worship leader to us. Please also pray for those who are leading the areas of Promotion (Robin Ogilvie), Compassion (Bryan Wiens), and Connection (Dan & Kelly Ogden) as we continue to plan and strategize for those areas of ministry. And most importantly be praying for the folks we are trying to reach with the gospel. Ask the Holy Spirit to point out the people in your life you need to be praying for, talking to, and inviting to the launch on Nov 4th.
And now you're in the loop.
