Last Sunday
It was another great day with more new faces and lots of excitement. We also had some folks come again who came out for the first time on launch Sunday which is awesome. People come because we invite them so lets keep it up. Let's also pray for decent weather next weekend!
Web Stuff
If you are looking for some more tools to help you invite friends the website has some cool new stuff. There is a new promo video on the front page that will give folks a little taste of what Sunday mornings at Deep Water are all about. Thanks to Mike Danforth for shooting the footage and Robin Ogilvie editing and producing. The podcast is also up and running. There is a link on the site or you can search for Deep Water Church in the iTunes Store. If you don't have iTunes and don't want to get it (it's a free download) you can also download the MP3 directly from our site. For some folks, hearing the podcast might be a great step in laying to rest ideas they have about church being boring or irrelevant. If you have friends in that category why not send them the link to the podcast. Thanks to Robin Ogilvie for setting this all up.
Compassionate Ministry
Bryan Wiens and the Compassionate Ministry leadership team are putting together some really cool opportunities for us. More info to come. Be excited!
Upstream
Upstream is the name of our kids ministry led by Kelly Thomas. They are having an awesome time and seeing a lot of kids. Expect a cool announcement in the near future about upstream.
Offering Box
Master craftsman Phillip Bain has completed our new offering box and it will begin active duty this Sunday. It will be hanging on the railing going up to the upper section as you first come into the theatre (same place the bucket did). It's a black box with a slit in the top. Thanks for your consistency in giving.
This Sunday
This Sunday we will be talking about "Gentle Jesus", it should be interesting, see you there! This will be an especially good week to invite a friend who thinks church is boring, not saying why, just saying it will be.
