June 9, 2009

We had a great time talking about forgiveness on Sunday and it was a meaningful experience for many of us. The kids and their parents had a great time at "Up With Upstream." It's a great movie. Technically I didn't actually cry. I did not, back off! A big thanks for all those of you who contributed to the bake sale to send kids to camp last week. It went well and we had lots of stuff to sell. Great job.

This Week

Jen the intern will be speaking and I'm really looking forward to it. It's gonna be cool. And thanks to a fun twist of scheduling I'm going to get to lead worship this week. I've already started stretching my rock muscles. It's been a bit and I wouldn't want to pull anything. I'm pretty excited about this week.

Point Pleasant Park Hike

We will be going hiking at Point Pleasant Park on June 21st after church. Anyone interested will find Keltie Cheney at the entryway to the theatre and we can coordinate drives and bus routes. For those that need to take a bus, a group will walk down to the corner of Barrington and Spring Garden to catch the bus #9 at 1:00pm. If you don't need to take the bus, you can drive there and we will all meet up at the canteen at the bottom of the park (the Dockyard entrance) at 1:15pm. You may want to take along a snack and some water. For more information email Keltie Cheney.

Baptisms at the Theatre

We received final permission this week to do all future baptisms right in the theatre! Crazy! Feel free to thank God for theatre management that is so good to us and so accommodating. We still have some gear to put in place but that's the easy part. Be on the lookout for our next baptism party right at the theatre early in the fall. If you are interested in being baptized then let me know.

And now you're in the loop.
