Merry Christmas to everyone. Here's hoping this is a great time as you celebrate Jesus birth, spend some time with family and friends, and get a nice chance to breathe deep and relax before the new year (and hopefully some really cool presents). This will likely be the last regular edition of the Loop until January as I don't plan to send one Christmas Eve and I'm away on vacation the following week but if something comes up between then and now that you definitely need to know, don't worry, we will keep you in The Loop.

Just to clarify we are not planning to have any type of Christmas ever service or event. We encourage you to take time to be with your family both immediate and extended and if a service on Christmas Eve is a special part of your Christmas celebration we encourage you to visit one of the many churches throughout HRM that will having one. We are also going to be doing something a little different on Sunday December 30th (the Sunday between Christmas and New Years). We will not be having our usual worship gathering in the morning instead we are going to be doing a compassionate outreach together. Full details are below under "Compassionate Ministries"

Attached is the new ministry schedule for January. If you notice any conflicts or weeks you are unable to fill please feel free to switch with someone else or contact your ministry leader to arrange an alternate.

Thanks to all who signed up to contribute to the North End family and the December 30 Community Dinner. We had a good response and will be able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of some needy people in our city. Thank you.

For those signed up for gifts, please bring them on Sunday. They don't need to be wrapped (if they are, please ensure there's a tag that says which it's for).

Also, there are still opportunities to assist with the Community Dinner (December 30 at The Marquee Club on Gottingen). If you haven't signed up and want to, or if you want to bring a friend with you, let Bryan know.

Make sure you are there Sunday January 6th as we launch our new series "Life In The Boat" and I preach through the entire Bible, Genesis to Revelation, in 30 min.
