As a follow up to the lighter side of our discussion on Sunday about things Christians may need to apologize for I'd like to share with you my two current favorite YouTube clips. The first one is lame but kind of catchy the second one is just plain awful. Enjoy.
Don't forget to click here to view the just plain aweful one. Seriously. You want to see this.
This Week
We will be talking about Baptism, what it is, what it means, who should experience it, and why it's so important.
Compassionate Ministries
Come help out at our FEED NOVA SCOTIA events this month. They are great chances to bring friends who are in your one degree (friends, coworkers, teammates, family) and are not already part of Deep Water.
After adding a 'learn squash' component to the Deep Water / Feed NS squash tournament for September 26th, all spots are now filled. If you have questions about future squash events, or would like to be put on a cancellation list for potential openings this Friday evening (Sept. 26th) contact Rod Mackenzie at 222-7665 or rod.mac@ns.sympatico.ca. Those of you who already spoke with Rod about coming will be contacted with more details. See you on the courts!
Small Groups
Small Groups are up and running for the year. Check one of these out:
Bryan Wiens in Beechville, Wednesday nights at 7:30
Karl and Kelti Cheney in Dartmouth, Tuesday nights at 7:00
Dan Freeman and Andrew Pepper on the Peninsula, Sunday after church
Tutoring Opportunity
There is an opportunity to provide free tutoring for a young man whose family moved to Canada from Afghanistan about 7 years ago. He had dropped out of high school but has decided to return and could use some additional help. If you are interested please contact AJ.
