We always try to make Sundays at Deep Water great, but some weeks God just shows up in a special way and everything just clicks. This was one of those weeks. What a great time.

Speaking of great times the Bible Story course kicked off this week and we had a blast. Registration for this round is closed but we already have names on the list for the next run through if you are interested.

Still speaking of great times this Sunday is going to be awesome - don't miss it. If you want to be Baptized this week and haven't talked to me about it yet, this is your chance.

And finally a reminder to those of you who are interested in direct deposit giving to get your forms in ASAP. If you haven't had the chance to pick up a form at the theatre you can contact me.

It's a great big birthday bash. Pool party is the theme and there will be decorations and cake and lots of fun. There has never been a better week to bring a friend so they can see what Deep Water is all about.

It's finally here. Many of you have been asking for it, and we've been working on it, and now we are ready to go. If you are interested in using this convenient method for giving to God through Deep Water you can pick up a form at the theatre on Sunday, or contact me and I'll email you one to print out. You simply fill it out, attach a void check, and put it in the offering box. While I know many of us will go this route, of course you will still be welcome to use the offering box each week.

The compassionate ministries team is organizing an event called blanket outreach. This event will consist of collecting donations of blankets to be handed out to people who are homeless in Halifax. There are two ways for you, the people of Deep Water, to get involved. First, you can donate. We will be accepting blanket donations during the Sundays of Oct.18th, 25th, and Nov. 1st. Second, you can help distribute the blankets. On the night of Saturday Nov. 7th we will be heading downtown in groups of four, to hand out the blankets to people living on the street in Halifax. We will be having our very own DW Clothing Drive on November 8th and November 15th! So any leftover halloween costumes, that dress that makes you look awful, or just anything in your closet that you don't wear, bring it out on either of those Sundays for someone who actually needs it!!
