The Loop is back in action after a two-week hiatus while I was enjoying some vacation time. Kelly's family was up from Pennsylvania for a few days, we spent some time together as a family while Micah was on March break, and to top it off Kelly got away to Inn on the Lake which was the Christmas gift you presented us with in December. Awesome place + awesome hot tub + awesome chocolate truffles + awesome burger = awesome present. Thanks!

Huge thanks to Brent Ingersoll and Bryan Wiens for speaking while I was on vacation, they did a great job. If you agree you should let them know. The podcasts of both weeks are available on the website or directly throughiTunes. Just search the iTunes store for 'Deep Water Podcast' and there we are.

This weeks edition of the Loop is jam packed full of yummy goodness. There are several things in here that are making their first appearance anywhere so make sure you check it all out.

This Week

We all know I'm going to preach about something but the big question is will I use Spock's death scene from Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Kahn and will it actually have anything to do with my message? Come find out.

Direct Deposit Giving is Coming

We have been working at figuring this stuff out and we are happy to announce that we will be launching Direct Deposit Giving at Deep Water in the near future. Get annoyed with writing checks? Find it hard to remember to grab a giving envelope in the Sunday morning rush? Hate forgetting to give on weeks you miss the Worship Gathering? This is the answer and the sign up forms and details will be available soon. Like the more hands on offering box approach? No problem, it will still be there for you.

Jen Ochej and a Place to Stay

Jen is a great young woman who, as part of completing her education to become a pastor, will be doing an internship with us here at Deep Water from June to November. I'm excited to have her hear using her gifts and passion to join in with the mission of Deep Water. She will be putting in tons of time and effort and one of the ways we can say thank you is by helping to find her a cheap or even better yet free place to stay. Do you need someone to house sit? Are you looking for a roommate? Do you have a spare room Jen could use for some or all of that time? Let me know about it.

Schedules a-plenty

It's time for the next batch of Sunday schedule goodness for all those of you who are part of making Sunday's happen at Deep Water. If you are on Connection team or involved in Upstream or Nursery you will be receiving your schedule directly from your ministry team leader (Andrew Pepper and Kelly Thomas respectively). If you are a Teller, Communion Server, or a techie (sound and media operators) your schedule is below. If you haven't volunteered to serve somewhere why not? Until you do you are only getting half the experience.

Handel's Messiah

Looking for something special to do over the upcoming Easter weekend? Our very on Empire 8 Park Lane will be showing performance Handel's Messiah. Messiah is a 250 year old oratorio based on the life of Jesus. All the info is here.

And now you're in the loop.
