Wow what a week. I was in Fredericton for the epic flood of '08 and then headed off to an amazing youth rally just outside Saint John NB where God did some amazing things, a special thanks again to those of you who prayer for me. Meanwhile back at the ranch Deep Water was busy loving Jesus and loving people by helping out with a couple of great projects for Feed Nova Scotia. "Good Job" to those of you who helped with collection and sorting. I hear it was blast and I'm looking forward to next time.
This Week
Is week 2 of "Kingdom Inc. the investment of a Lifetime" and we start off with a bang talking about money. Some folks get weird-ed out when they hear a church is talking about money and understandably so seeing some of the crazy abuses of money people have committed in Jesus name
But the truth is money is one of the most important issues to get a handle on if we are going to invest ourselves in Jesus and His Kingdom and so we are going to talk about it together and see what Jesus really said about money and why what we do with it matters. For those of you who are regular attenders and you consider Deep Water to be your "home church" we will also be presenting an opportunity to make a giving commitment for the coming year and so you will want to begin thinking and praying about how God would have you respond to that.
Small Groups
The beginning of this new series is a great time to join a small group. Small Groups are a chance to think through, discuss, and explore how to live out what we are talking about on Sundays. Plus they are just a good time. If you want to get involved you can contact me and I'll help you jump in or you can just pick a group and show up. All of our groups are open to anyone.
