SERVING AT DEEP WATER CHURCH
We believe God fills each one of us full of Kingdom purpose. Serving is a great way to engage in the mission of Jesus as we connect with others, grow in faith, and make a difference together. Below are descriptions of some of the areas that you can serve in. Once you have an idea of how you might like to get involved, fill out our serve form so that we can get in touch with you about next steps for getting involved. No matter what strengths or experiences you may have, there’s a place for you at Deep Water Church.
Serve Teams and Roles
Participation in the Kingdom of God is how we grow in our discipleship to Jesus.
Some of our serving roles can be filled by people who are newer to our community,
while other leadership roles require attendance at Deep Water of at least six months
and/or formal church membership.
Serving Roles
Host team
Making people feel welcomed and at home at Deep Water.
Care Team
Helping with meals, practical needs, and visitations.
Media & Tech Team
Helping out Sunday mornings with all things sound, tech, and production.
Facilities Team
Helping with maintenance and upkeep for the building and grounds at our Halifax location.
Leadership Roles (attendance and/or membership requirements)
Upstream Kids
Serving with our kids programs (infants to grade 6).
Riptide Youth
Serving in our Riptide student ministry on Tuesday nights.
Home Church
Leading/facilitating small groups and Bible studies.
Worship Team
Interview for leading worship in our weekend services.
